This office is incredibly disorganized and lacks basic internal record keeping. I went here for the first time in mid-April. I was given a printed care summary and quote. When I went to prepay for my treatment, they charged me a significantly higher amount. When I noticed the error and called, the front desk claimed they "could not find" my original treatment plan in their system and asked me to email them photos of my physical printout. They emailed me an updated plan with extra work that the dentist had never discussed with me. The healthcare coordinator, Elizabeth, told me she would give me a call to review and never did. I didn't feel comfortable continuing with them because they couldn't maintain my records and didn't follow up. I canceled my upcoming appointment and requested a refund ($1,800+) on May 19th. They told me they would mail me a check. On June 15th, I called and was told the refund was submitted on June 9th. On June 29th, I called back because nothing arrived. I was told the check was printed on June 19th and was in the mail. Today, July 8th, I called a third time. Crystal, the Operations Manager, told me they can't issue paper checks for CareCredit refunds.

Thank you Dr. Sergio Vicuna for giving me my mouth guard! Previous to receiving this tool, I’d been unconsciously clenching my teeth during sleep (especially during stressful seasons of life), which caused tight shoulders and occasional headaches that were really painful. After several months of using my mouth guard every night, I think I’ve maybe gotten only one such headache in the last six months. Quality of life has definitely improved. Body and mind are both happier and more relaxed. Highly recommend!

Most visits to the dentist are not very enjoyable. But going to Midtown Modern Dental is a totally different experience. From the moment I walked in on my first visit, I was greeted by a delightful professional staff of lovely young women. Everything was handled perfectly, and soon I was in the care of wonderful Robin, the kindest technician I have ever met. Next came Dr. Vicuna, who explained everything I needed to have done and settled my mind that my dental situation was not as bad as I had worried. From then on, everything was done perfectly - X-rays, cleaning, eventual crown repair. Robin was an angel, even giving me a soft blanket to keep comfortable under during the long procedures. I will sum up and say this office and these people - Dr. Vicuna and his entire staff - are the best and most caring and professional I have ever met. The office is bright and pretty, too, immaculately neat. I highly recommend them.

I actually enjoy going to Midtown Modern Dental Group. It is a trustworthy practice. Dr. Alexandra Barsotti is a jewel. The receptionists are capable and friendly. As a person with a Parkinson’s challenge and in the process of getting a front tooth implant, I am receiving excellent care from the careful and talented oral surgeon Dr. Daniel Petersen. Dental assistant, Richard Reno, provides conscientious service and helps patients feel at ease. I am grateful for the quality care and team spirit among all the staff I have encountered.

Staff is amazing! From receptionist to tech to doctor! Really appreciated Dr. Petersen’s skill and reassuring comments as well as his skill level. Dental assistant Reno was very calming, had a nice manner, reassurances and comforting touch on my shoulder. Highly recommend this office!
